Earl Swensson Associates Make Dream Playground a Reality

Kids in Motion - a project of Earl Swensson AssociatesRibbon Cutting Ceremony
for New JES Playground
Thursday, November 15

Anyone who has not passed by and seen our young students enjoying the beautiful new play area at Joelton Elementary School has missed a treat!

Earl Swensson Associates (ESa) and the Nashville Alliance for Public Education invite the community to share the fun and witness those youthful smiles at the JES playground ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 15, 2007.

Mayor Karl Dean and Director of Schools Pedro Garcia will be on hand for the festivities.

The project Kids in Motion
was spearheaded by the architectural firm of Earl Swensson Associates. Dozens of volunteers and area businesses helped bring their vision closer to reality during a build day on September 22. Work has continued and the students are now enjoying a safe, inviting venue for both physical and mental activity. Children can work out on colorful playground equipment, skip across a large map of the United States, and dream of the future as they run 'round a diagram of the solar system.

Joelton neighbors are truly grateful to Earl Swensson Associates for their vision, giving spirit, and hard work on behalf of the students of JES and our entire community.
Thank you, thank you!
