The
momentum cannot decrease!
Support Ken Jakes September 11
To The Editor:
II would like to ask everyone who
supported me with their vote on
August 2, 2007 to again give me
their support in the September
run-off election. I would also
like to ask everyone to try to
get his or her neighbors to
support me as well. A mass effort
in this manner will surely result
in a victory for District 1.
I have been overwhelmed by the
support given up to this point
and the renewed belief that in
the end your work and support
will not be in vain. I will
listen to any suggestions on how
to motivate nonactive voters to
strengthen the campaign. The
momentum cannot decrease! It is
very important to accelerate with
a force of power that will send a
message to Metro that you, like
me, have finally had enough!! I
am asking you to please assist me
in spreading the word to vote.
I have seen the district unite in
a way that I have never seen
before and it is truly an honor
for me to have the support of my
fellow community members. I
honestly do not feel this is MY
campaign. A better way to refer
to this is as OUR campaign. I
have been told that generally in
a run-off election there is a
lower voter turnout. I am asking
you to please make this run-off
prove others wrong.
I am looking forward to hearing
your viewpoints and concerns.
This is important because I
don’t believe the district
has had the ability to call and
be heard in the recent past.
