Jakes Thanks Supporters,
Announces New Campaign

To The Editor:

I would like to thank all of my supporters for all their efforts throughout the entire election. I have no regrets. The campaign has been worth it all. The new acquaintances I have met along with the renewal of close bonds with the many friends and supporters in all areas of District 1 have been amazing. I do not want any of my supporters to feel as if they could have done any more. I am still astonished by your efforts.

This has been the demise of District 1 in my opinion due to the Government bureaucracy in redistricting District 1 and dividing our close knit community and by the enormous amount of money poured into the campaign of my opponent by Political Action Committees (PAC). These include Gaylord, Nashville Business Coalition, etc. In my opinion they strive to do nothing more than legal bribery and buy votes in the council. Again I make a pledge to this District: I will never accept PAC money or special interest contributions.

I have already started my next campaign hoping that in the next four years there will be something left of our district, as we know it, to preserve. I am looking forward to being your next representative, but only if I can represent the ones that mean so much to me--the people of District 1.

Sincerely,

Ken Jakes
Joelton
