Mathews Gets 96%
of His Contributions
from Outside District 1
To the Editor:
Kenneth Jakes' campaign
contributions from outside
District 1 total $0. His District
1 contributions total $8,390.
Ken Jakes will represent District
1 with no outside political
obligations. Ken refuses to
accept donations from special
interest groups or outside
businessmen, in spite of the fact
that his total campaign budget
was limited. Due to contributions
from PACs and people outside of
District 1, Lonnell
Matthew’s campaign budget
was five times larger than
Ken’s.

District 1 total $48,050. His
District 1 contributions total
$2200.
Lonnell Matthews has received 96%
of his campaign contributions
from special interest groups and
individuals outside District 1.
His campaign is being promoted by
interests outside of our District
1 neighborhoods. In the past
eight years our needs have been
sadly ignored and our tax dollars
have gone largely to outside
areas.

Ken Jakes has voiced and will
continue to voice our wishes and
needs and fight for us. He has
the knowledge necessary to insure
that we are treated fairly by
Metro Codes and Zoning. He will
fight for what is right.
Ken Jakes’ wife, daughter,
and parents are a part of
District 1. He will fight for
them and he will fight for you!
He is here for you and asks you
to please support him and give
him the chance to serve your
needs.
